I'm confused. Last time I used the account was for Thin Lizzy and as mwestep knows, I don't tamper with account info (we had some drama in one of our other group accounts).

StrandedBrit: Since you know all the personal info of this account, you should probably call them to see why we got our account suspended.

OK, just talked to the Sony Agent and here's the scoop.

On 1/30/09 someone added $10 to the account through a credit card. On 2/26/09 (yesterday) that $10 was taken back by the same credit card so Sony banned the account because the $10 was put in and techinically used and then taken back. They also said if I send in a MOney Order (they gave me details) for $10 that the account will be re-instated. I asked him to check against the last 4 digits of the 2 credit cards I use and confirmed it wasn't mine.

At least we know that it isnt banned, just put on hold. So should the way to fix this situation is to send a money order in?

Thanks for investigating StrandedBrit.

You should post the last four digits of the credit card given to you by the representative. That might let us know who had problems with their credit card.

Also, the logic of putting our account on hold doesn't make sense. Let's say the $10 deposit was refunded. Shouldn't Sony just take away $10 from our reserves versus restricting the account? It's not like we would have a deficit due to the $10 refund.

Yeah I don't get the logic either, but he didn't give me the cc info ... I volunteered mine and he said it didn't match. I was trying to be inconspicuous so I told him it was probably my relative that I shared the account with and he said OK, send in the MO and it'll be square. I have the details for the MO but seeing as I'm not the culprit I don't think I should be paying it IMHO.

The rep did say the funds were deposited on 1/30/09 and retracted on 2/26/09 so if people check their bank/credit card statements someone should be able to figure this out.

i had a bunch of weird charges on my card so they canceled that card and sent me a new one. I just got a $20 psn card that i can add to make up for the problem. What has to be done to fix this?

i'll mail a money order and i'll take a pic of it and post it for proof. Also When the account is activated don't add anymore money as once are funds are up i'm goin to leave the group. then u guys can create another group where u can add another person under a new account so we all can still acess the old account if we need to redownload any songs as i will be getting a new Ps3 soon and will need to download them again.

I assume it's because you don't want to spend money on RB DLC, and not because you got a new PS3? If it's due to a new PS3, I'm pretty sure you can deactivate the DLC from your old PS3 and activate it onto your new PS3 without much hassle.

Hey guys, glad to see the account info is being taken care of. Sorry to see you leaving Finsfan, I am not sure if I will join up if we do another group. I really havent had the time to play RB and my kids seem to have finally moved on to other things as well.

I will toss a vote out there this week for the REM song, even if we cant log in to get it yet that is.

You know what, I'm actually with Gindias on this too. I haven't been playing RB2 as much lately and it's getting to the point where I'm liking one song every 3 months so not making as much sense to get the songs now. I'm up for using the remaining money and then members who want to continue can form a new group.
