I found an answer to our important question via the Rock Band Forums. It's a stickied FAQ, too.

Q:Will Rock Band 1 DLC continue after release of Rock Band 2?
A:There is no "Rock Band 1" DLC or "Rock Band 2 DLC", all DLC is cross-compatible.

So that should mean that all those future released albums (e.g. No Doubt, Foo Fighters, etc.) should work on both games.

I will vote yes to any of the Megadeth, and no for the other tracks. Peace Sells is a fantastic metal album. I was playing RB2 at Frys yesterday and I really liked the new drum kit, it seemed less toy like to me so I guess I might have to upgrade my drums.

Does anyone know if the GH drums are going to work with RB and RB drums with GH? I wonder if I could just buy the GH set and use it to play RB, I ask this because even after the patch the RB guitar doesnt work on GH and I dont need any more of these controllers lying around my living room.

The Megadeth album can grow on you, at first I was kind of turned off of it, but am actually liking it quite a bit now.

Other thing is that I am just scared.. expert guitar is going to be insanely hard

At the moment, I know I want Limelight for sure. I still need to listen to the other tracks closely.

I personally don't like the lead singer's voice BUT lyrics and music composition play an important part to me liking a song.

If we happen to not get any Rush songs due to a lack of majority vote, maybe we can compromise on a few since mwestep seems to like Rush a lot. This would be similar to the case where the Disturbed votes for split 2-2 but we compromised on getting a couple of those tracks.

The only one I'm interested in is Kasabian - Shoot The Runner, although like Evergoo I really need to listen to them all properly.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik mix together for this week's Rock Band DLC

Blood Sugar Sex Magik was previously announced as a future DLC, so no surprises here. All the songs on the album will be included, except for Give It Away, which will be on the Rock Band 2 disc.
