Bad news everyone. My ps3 died on me, last few days it turned off by itself and today I just get a yellow light and flashing red. I'm probably gonna end up getting a new ps3 but I don't know how soon. Does anyone know if there's a way to recover those lost gameshare slots?

I think you'd just call up CS and tell them to deactivate every account tied to your console if they're gonna send you a new one. If you can still boot the thing up I'd do it yourself before sending it in or whatever you're doing with it.

Well my PS3 is fucked up too... 60gb and it won't let me sign into PSN, some shitty error code. Searching around looks like I have to send it in... sweet. I'm gonna miss FFXIII OH EM FUCKIN GEE

Apparently it might be PSN and not my system... I'll wait and see.

By the way, I asked about manually deactivating a system through customer service in the case of a broken system, but they say they won't do it at all. 5 is for convenience, but if your system breaks it essentially reduces it to 4.

Not sure what jrsmaster went through but that might be the case with him too if they send him a new system. This is completely fucked up to considering my main account is capped right now... if my system ever dies I basically have a crippled account not worth getting trophies on :/

What's the plan for GoWIII? I will have the Amazon pre-order code, all the stuff from the UE, and some 7/11 themes/skins. There was discussion about multiple skins not stacking on one account, I can't c/d that though. Any plans from you guys to pick the game up/get DLC for it in the future?

I know your ps3 is getting full of accounts, but if jrs can't deactivate his ps3, shouldn't we make another account with that $50 and keep him in the share if he's still interested?

I'm okay with deleting some accounts, I have a UK/JPN account on there just so I can grab the occasional PV or themes, they can definitely go if needed. Along with Wipeout, Savage Commando and a bunch of other crap. But yeah, until we hear back from him there's no real need to add the $50. Another account works fine for me.

I agree with holding out to see whats gonna happen with his PS3. I know my 60 is getting real loud and that has all the games from our other group on it, and that little bastard screwed us out of ever redownloading them again.

Have you guys upgraded your hdd? I have 60gb too, and its taking a juggling act to fit more stuff on it.

If you back up your HDD you should be able to retain all rights to the content, pretty sure user accounts are system-based and not stored on the hard drive. And obviously your system doesn't deactivate when you backup so... /shrug

My permissions didn't change, or at least from what I can remember.

Problem is I'd need something big enough to back up into. But I guess external enclosures can be had cheap, I will definitely have to upgrade soon.


For today's psn store update: I'll vote yes for Mega Man 10

Obviously don't delete the games you downloaded from our earlier group since you can't redownload it, but anything we bought in this group you can safely delete and redownload later so that you don't have to back everything up.

I guess yes to MM10, another game I'll prolly never touch. Also... god Grandia sucks so hard I gotta stop with the nostalgia factor of early 3D PSX games

I haven't played Grandia yet, but boy was i surprised when i loaded it up to the title screen and saw how a ps1 game looks on an HDTV

Never played a Sam and Max game. Tales of Monkey Island bored the shit outta me, so I think I'll pass on it. Trophies are tempting, but not when they're 6 bucks lol.
