Group 2 Discussion

I just took Fallout 3 off my pre-order list. Everytime I hear something my want goes down and I just took a decent look at when these things come out and it just doesn't fit. It'll be a trade for later dealeo.

it's one of the games I want most out of this fall. Going through fallout 1/2 right now. I was hoping to snag it off you sb.

If it doesnt have MP I see no reason to buy a game. I mean, why not just rent it, beat it, return it.

I'll still probably get it hone, but maybe just wait until new years to pick it up.

EDIT: I've played QW a few times now these last few weeks and I'm not really feeling it hone. Sorry.
But since I'm getting BFBC in the next few days I figured between that and UT3 we'd have enough to keep us company.

the fallout series is renknown for their immense replay value. also the fallout world is huge. take oblivion, if you're inot that and actual explore everything you can easily consume 100+ hrs. NOt really worth renting.

I think I am adddicted to Socom..Already!!! If you run into anyone with the name SocomThug or Socom_____ whatever it is a /6 employee. Dude was owning that room you were in SB.

I'm pretty psyched for Fallout myself, but I've also been trying to convince myself that everything in October doesn't need to be a day 1 release.
Rock Band 2 - Yes
Bioshock - Yes
SOCOM - not anymore after hearing all the beta problems
LBP - Yes, and I still intend to use my Kratos code on the group account so everyone else can get it to
GHWT - not until a really good deal comes along
Fallout - want, but probably will wait
SingStar Vol.2 - will wait
MotorStorm2 - will wait

That's 8 games in October I would love to have in my collection, plus Resistance 2 like a week later.

Please dont judge the game by the beta problems. Most are resolved now (besides the loading time) and what is left will be a non-factor in the final release. Most people in the private beta say they had a more advanced build of what the Public Beta is. Plus, most the "problems" were personal complaints. i.e Roload slow, recoil, yada yada yada. October is a filthy month for games, but dont pass on Socom until reviews are out or you play it a bit. I actually still have my Qore beta code if you wanna give it a shot for yourself.

Yea, Fallout 3 is the one with 300 "endings". Although I recall reading a piece that said they weren't exactly endings, but I don't remember how they explained it. It's made by the same people who made Oblivion. You can around a huge post-apocalyptic world making custom weapons, doing missions, etc. It just sounds so huge and awesome.

One of the wipeout trophies is get to level 75 in zones. There goes my platinum trophy!

I had a negative opinion of it at first, SB probably did and I know GhostFace did. But once you actually get in a Working game, it is pure magic. Mad fun

i was at a mad scramble to write that code down after i replied with a message because i was afraid itd get pushed off screen if you responded again. no worries tho, its safely here. I'll be sure to commence dling once poker is over.

This morning I have been researching Far Cry 2 a bit, and it seems that it is coming out Oct 21. Now I probably wont get it until November or December, when it is $40 bones or something. But it has multiplayer, and a Map Editor, which should be really really sweet.

I would be wary about the far cry 2 mp. Crytek is known for just making pretty games, but nothing really long lasting.

how the fudge do you throw grenades farther than 5ft in socom?!?!

My other complaint is that you can only run straight or sideways, not diagonally.

Grenades are seriously gimped in the beta. I dont even use them. But I think you need to use the sixaxis to change the pitch of the grenade (a la Uncharted) Seriously, you cant run diagonally? Thats odd. I must have never noticed.

Bronze looks doable. Silver will require god-like performances and anyone who gets a gold is on crack, speed and red bull.

Use the right stick while running and you can run diagonally. SB, my PAIN tips help at all? I see you got the bowling ones, (simple enough) but still dont have the two million. I wish I could record my gameplay videos to youtube.
