Well towards the end I was just getting bored of taking everyone's money so just went with the bets and then All-In on my last hand. But, I don't want to take anything away from your winnings SB, as they were earned

Edit: I see you posted in the Madden CE thread Smog. You should've like 2 weeks ago when I found 2 copies for $45. I'll check for you if I go out this week to check on deals, but I'm trying to cut back right now.

tbh motorstorm is probably one of the lower key releases this holiday season. I stil lhave to get through BP.

Got Motorstorm 2 pre-ordered. Liked the first and this should be a much more polished version of that. So I'm game!

Anyone check out the Legendary dev vids on PSN. That title is starting to interest me. Of course depends on if it actually runs well and how it all pans out but has potential.

well that's 3, but I'll probably pass. I guess all in all I don't care too much. I already have a lot on the backlog plus keeping up with UT3 nights is keeping my hands full and school's picking up. Still trying to finish this side project of mine. Also, metaly and I might have something for CAG PSN in the future..

I am in for Jeopardy but 14.99 ?? WTF. Alex trebech isnt even in it and Sony already owns the show so I expect some FREE question packs. Meh, not much of a racing fan unless its GT. Might split Burnout with Chris if it ever comes to PSN though.

Obviously I am all in for PAIN.

I know one of you guys were hyped for SW-The force or whatever, and TRU is giving a $20 GC away. That's nice if you plan on getting it within the first week.

I'm in for PAIN as well, along with Jeopardy. I also didn't realize Sony owned the show. When the time comes, Wheel of Fortune will be awesome.

I was hyped for Star Wars, but don't think I'll be rushing out day 1 to get it. I've got so many games right now I'm trying to convince myself to hold off on day1 purchases so I don't play them a bunch then never touch them because I buy something else. October is a HUGE month, followed by an excellent November. So I'm doing my best to control the cash flow.

Edit: what line of study/work are you in hone? I'm a computer science major and was wondering if you do something similar after hearing of this "secret" collaboration.

yeah, I'm finishing up a M.S.E in CS. Metaly does design work, so we're collaborating on a project. I need to buid up my portfolio. I'm a big ruby guy if you ever do any of that stuff. We should talk some time br.

Well, I'm still an undergrad and have only taken an Intro to Python course and Intro to C++ (which I'm retaking because I didn't do so hot last year). So I've got virtually no experience. I'm hoping I start to catch on though because I don't want to have to change my major and basically lose a year of school because it just didn't "click" for me. If cse doesn't work out, my backup major is design. It's cool because my school offers a "specialization" (minor) in Game Design and Development which is what I'm also shooting for.

Oh yeah, I read the wiki about Ruby, assuming your talking about the language, and it sounds like some pretty cool stuff. Never heard of it before, but sounds very user oriented.

oh cool. I love programming. well more creating things. it gets really cool when you're comfortable working on your own things. I would recommend doing CS even if you want to go into the games industry. You should start looking into doing game dev if you want to get into it. They only take people w/ xp usually.

Ruby is awesome. I think it's somewhat similiar to python. If you have any questions with ruby/cs shoot me a line. Do you use im?

Yea, the xp thing is what's got me down. I just started my third year of college and I've got none. I didn't bother looking for an internship this past summer because they all expect you to know something or have some xp already. I'm hoping I can land something this coming summer though. I should try to be more self-motivated to learn other things and work on side projects, but often find myself just playing games instead I was excited for ut3 upon initial release because I was hoping it could motivate me to at least learn to do simple mods, but I only have a weak laptop and doubt I could run much like that. I've got a bunch of articles and stuff bookmarked online about getting into the industry and stuff, as well as read gamasutra occasionally. It's gonna be a long journey, I know it.

you'll definitely need a more powerful pc if you're serious about game dev. Well, you could start with some simpler 2d games, which isn't a bad route. pygame? Learn SDL. Fat guy does look pretty cool. NO online MP yet. PAIN Labs this week is not really cool at all
