Re: Next Game Purchase

Just a quick update:

It looks like I should be able to get all 4 PSN accounts back up and running (with new passwords attached to their new accounts.) This shouldn't really be a problem for canadiancag3, 2, or 1 considering that there is no money left in the account. It'll only really affect people that want to deactivate a system.

I already have canadiancag4 working. I am still waiting for the emails for canadiancag 3, 2 and 1. I will send out the new passwords once everything is done (which'll probably be well before the PSN store is back up).

Alright, so I got all 5 gameshare accounts back up. (They now all have 5 email addresses that forward to my main one). I'll have to change them to different passwords when the store goes back up next week because currently they are all the same.

Also, I wonder how this welcome back program will work. Considering that we have +5 accounts, I wonder if we can pick all of the choices. I guess we'll see. Hopefully the PSN+ will kick in right away and we can take advantage to the PSN+ discounts as well.

Hey, so it looks like the store is back up and the "Welcome back" program is live. There are five games being offered in this program:

Dead Nation
inFAMOUS
LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust HD
Wipeout HD + Fury

Considering that we've already bought Dead Nation, (and that I am going to get inFAOUS and LittleBigPlanet on my personal account) we can try to get Super Stardust HD and Wipeout HD on this account. I will try it later and let you know how it goes.

That sounds great Snuter. Are you able to send out the passwords for all the accounts as well? Thanks!

I will send out the password soon. (I had to change them all, so I ended up using the same one. I'll have to go back and change them so each account is different.)

Also, looking at how the free games in the "welcome back" program are working, I am not entirely sure that this will work. The games do not show up in the "download history" area of you account, but under the "account management > transaction management > services list > SCEA Promotions" to download the games. (This is just like the PSN+ service, which isn't sharable.)

I am afraid that the free games might only work on my console (since I have the original console that the accounts were created on).

SO, what I'd suggest is waiting till after I download the free games on the CAG account (which will be Wipeout and SuperStarDust HD) and for you guys to try to see if you can download them first on the CAG account. Then, if it works, you can choose 2 different games for your regular account. If it doesn't work, then you can choose whatever games in your regular account without taking into consideration that Wipeout and SSDHD have already been bought as to not double buy them.

The only issue is that I won't be able to do this tonight, so you'll have to wait to tomorrow. I'll keep everyone updated here.

I downloaded the games and they seem to be working fine on my original account as well. I we can actually share those as well then!

Hey, now that PSN is finally back up and running, I think we should get a running list of games going again that we want. We have a total of $189.70 to spend (I still owe $60 in PSN cards and we have $129.70 left in the wallet currently). Here are my top picks:

1. inFAMOUS 2 (yes it is a full retail game but nothing beats paying $12 each for a $60 game!)
2. Outland
3. Stacking
4. Hard Corps Uprising
5. PixelJunk Shooter 2

The total for all of these games (all rated 9.5 - 8.0 on IGN) is $104.95 including tax which would leave us with $84.75 to spend making it five games cost us $20.99 each!

Do you guys want to pick up tetris as well? It's 50% for plus users this week and we still have plus access.

I'd be fine with adding Tetris as well. I actually miss-quoted some of the prices (some of the $10 games are actually $15.) However, it seems that a lot of them are on sale on XBLA, so I think the annual PSN Summer sale might be coming up soon so I think we should wait for a bit. (Hard Corp Uprising and Stacking are both %50 off). The summer sale is normally the first week of August.

Here are the updated prices:

1. inFAMOUS 2 $59.99
2. Outland $9.99
3. Stacking $14.99
4. Hard Corps Uprising $14.99
5. PixelJunk Shooter 2 $9.99
6. Beyond Good $ Evil $9.99
7. Gatling Gears $9.99

Anyway, I'd be fine with holding off on the PSN games till August, but I think we should buy Tetris while it is on sale this week.

I don't mind holding off as well, but I do agree we should get tetris since it's on sale now.

Great. I'll check with the other and we'll see if we can't jump on this soon. Also, because full PS3 games don't go on sale (at least the digital version never goes on sale) I think we should also look at picking up inFAMOUS 2 as well as Tetris this week. $12 for inFAMOUS 2 and $1 for Tetris isn't bad.

So I just got a PM from Bryce via PSN and he said that he is down for getting both Tetris and inFAMOUS 2. Since we've got 3 "yes" for Tetris (and cause it is only on sale for 2 more days) and went ahead a bought it. 1 more yes for inFAMOUS 2 and I'll buy that as well.

sorry, my mistake, but I guess Bryce isn't part of the new group. (whoops. but I guess it has been a while. Myself, awworld, wilme, haya and his buddy are the new group)

However, I did just hear back from awworld and he said that we would be fine with both Tetris and inFAMOUS 2 so I guess we are still good. If wilme is still wants to get inFAMOUS 2 (or any other "yes") then I can go ahead and get it.

Other than inFAMOUS 2, it looks like a bunch of the Burnout series DLC is on sale this week, most of them seem to be car packs which I have no interest in, but these two are supposed to be good (and they are for a great game!) I'd be up for both, along with inFAMOUS 2 of course.

Burnout Paradise: Big Surf Island Sale (now $2.99, original price $6.99)
Burnout Paradise: Cops And Robbers Sale (now $1.99, original price $4.99)

Also, it looks like Boarderlands bundle is coming up on sale next week for plus users:
Borderlands Bundle (PlayStation Plus price $14.99 a $65 value)
This bundle includes all of the DLC packs and the game itself! They were $10 each.

If you have the game, it still trades for +8 at EB Games which will bump to $25 toward a new console or game.

Cool. I already bought Tetris (go download it!) cause we already had 3 yes for it.
As for the rest, it looks like PSN announced their summer sale is next week. Here are the highlights:

Back to the Future: The Game Full Series (Sale price $13.99; Plus price $9.79; Regular price $19.99)
Hard Corps: Uprising (Sale price $10.49; Plus price $7.34; Regular price $14.99)
PixelJunk Shooter 2 (Sale price $6.99; Plus price $4.89; Regular price $9.99)
Risk: Factions (Sale price $6.99; Plus price $4.89; Regular price $9.99)
Swarm (Sale price $6.99; Plus price $4.89; Regular price $9.99)
Tales from Space: About a Blob (Sale price $10.49; Plus price $7.34; Regular price $14.99)

Since myself, wilme, and Haya already said that they want it, I'll get Hard Corps, PJ:Shooter 2 next week. I'd also be up for getting Back to the future, Risk Factions (IGN gave it an 8.0) Swarm (IGN gave it an 8.5 and editors choice), Tales from space (IGN also gave it an 8.0). This will cost about $41 for all of these games. I would still suggest holding off on Outland, stacking and BG&E for now, besides, that is alot of games to play.

No we didn't get the Burnout DLC (I wasn't clear if I had 3 yes, so I just left it. Besides, Burnout itself is a massive game!)

Anyway, I updated the list above (and below). I am also up for Limbo (it is a great game - I already bought it on XBLA, but I don't mind buying it again.) I would put it on my "Buy it later" list though cause we have a lot of games that we are about to buy that are on sale currently.

Week of 12th (PSN Summer Sale week - while we still get the PSN+ discount)
1. Back to the Future (full game) $9.79 ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)
2. Hard Corps: Uprising $7.34 ( 4/3 snuter, wilme, haya, awworld are yes)
3. PixelJunk Shooter 2 $4.89 ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)
4. Risk: Factions $4.89 ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)
5. Swarm $4.89 ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)
6. Tales from Space: About a Blob $7.34 ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)

Week of the 19th
1. Borderlands (Full game, GOTY edition) $14.99 ( 2/3 snuter and awworld are yes)

Future wants (but not right now, atleast just yet)
1. Stacking ( 2/3 snuter and awworld are yes)
2. Outland ( 4/3 snuter, wilme, haya, awworld are yes)
3. Beyond Good & Evil ( 4/3 snuter, wilme, haya, awworld are yes)
4. Gatling Gears ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)
5. Limbo ( 3/3 snuter, wilme, awworld are yes)
