Damn 1000 already? Craziness. Anyways I got that crack fiend sensation from Wipeout last night. I couldnt stop playing.

But yeah SB what are your ninjas saying about the FW update? Tonight or next week? Hopefully we gets some new features...

Not hearing anything right now. Hopefully this week.

I'm on the last event in Wipeout HD and it's tough! All the cells are phantom class! I'm sure I can't get a platinum in this, and some of those trophies are pure grind em trophies too. Oh well. Online is da shizzle. I've played with a few online and it's pretty sweet.

Hone, BFBC was pretty decent online. With working mics it'd definitely be sweet. I should try to get some games in online to loosen up, but I'd definitely be up for that again.

Smog. Is LBP GOTY?

Dude Game of the Century! It brings me pure joy to play. Massive amounts of laughter. The levels people make are out of this world. You can literally make pretty much anything you want with the tools. Create mode is pretty difficult but if you put in time you can obviously get the hang of it. Stephen Fry is awesome. Everything about the game feels so fresh and new. Every level has a youtube like page where people rate, tag and even comment on the levels. The game is so deep it is crazy. It is a little boring playing by yourself though. I guess another argument people could have is that it is just running and jumping essentially, but there are tons of puzzles and races and little events and things within the levels.

Wipeout Question- To beat Speed Freak Circuit, do I really have to get gold on each event? Because that is outta my league. I can only get gold on the races/tournaments..

To unlock the next even you need a certain number of points. To get the trophy you need at least a bronze in each cell. The tough part is each event required more and more points to unlock the next.

If you haven't seen the confirmation of GS's extra LBP preorder content, it's a medusa and minotaur costume as well as GOW level. Same exact stuff a GS employee told me when I preordered mine last month. They better have the code for that stuff too when I pick up my game (unless it can all be accessed via the original code).

Uploaded a few snapshots to my singstar profile. The video it records is always at the point in each song where I get tripped up in the lyrics so it comes out horrible. I'm kinda upset they took out the robot option in sound FX for audioplayback.

My bad, I starting reading the total point ratio as what I needed to unlock the next level.

yeah definitely. hopefully they fix it soon like in the next patch update. You can do some sweet teamwork like taking out tanks. I was taking out tanks w/ c4. was an awesome feeling.

R2 beta next Friday. Who's in?

Got me a beta code guranteed via Gamestop. Plus, I signed up via the playstation email that was sent out.

Yeah I am really trying to avoid pre-ordering R2 but if I am not satisfied with Socom only, I may have to.

Too many darn betas going on. With the way the next few weeks are going, I'll likely skip the R2 beta unless someone hands me a code. Socom, RB2, LBP and Bioshock will be too much in itself, never mind the betas.

EDIT: Smoggy does it again. USAToday has emailed me a LBP code.

I'm buying the game regardless, so LBP beta isn't a priority right now for me. Heck, I've barely touched the SOCOM one and that's ending soon so guess I should spend some more time with it.

As for Socom, since patch 1.5 I have not been able to get into a single game. So I would say wait until tomorrow at least when they patch it for the final time.

my ps3 restore is stuck @ 66%. was this process pretty painless for you guys?

It stuck initially at like 1% on buddahs and had to reboot. Worked second time.

Worked flawlessly for me.

What do you think of the game SB?

On a side note, just tried to watch the new Indiana Jones and had to stop with ~45 minutes left. Were all the others this cheezy/corny/horrible? I dont remember them being this bad...

LBP is looking AAA. I only played the first 2 levels, but I see the potential already. This game is going to have longevity too. 2 weeks is too long! It'd be nice if the beta had gone on until next week. I mean the socom one is going on until almost release date.

Indy 4 is basically a cash in for the franchise. People were nostalgic for it and they knew everyone would see it, regardless if it was good. Not bad, but not franchise worthy either.

You need to play the Wipeout Level! The Ninja Warrior one was really cool as well.

Anyways, the new FW should come out between the 13th and 19th. I will be semi-pissed if it is not there for the Socom mic on the 15th

From reading up on the blog, I'd take a stab at Linger. We can confirm everything after the weekend though. The car game looks kinda sweet too from the videos. Demo time!
